Shipping Information
Jennie and Vera’s Cookies takes great care in packaging your
cookie order. We ship UPS Next Day, 3-Day, 2-Day and Ground Monday
through Thursdays. Orders placed by 1PM Central Standard Time
Monday through Thursday will be processed the same day, to insure
the package is received within the time frame requested. Orders
placed after 1PM Central Standard Time Monday through Wednesday will
be sent out the following day (refer to chart below). Orders placed
on Thursday after 1PM and Friday will be held until the following Monday
to ensure quality products received. We cannot have packages in
transit over the weekend, so please do not select a ship date that is
a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. However, if there is a need for a
Saturday delivery, with an order placed before Thursday 1PM, this could
be accommodated for an additional $12.50 above the regular shipping fee
selected.
Jennie and Vera’s Cookies are baked on-demand and do not contain
artificial preservatives or flavors, and must be consumed in ten days
from receiving the cookies. THEREFORE, JENNIE AND VERA RECOMMEND
EXPEDITED SHIPPING TO THE EAST AND WEST COAST VIA 3-DAY, 2-DAY OR NEXT DAY
AIR to ensure freshness and quality delivered in each and every
cookie. Jennie and Vera’s Cookies is located in the Chicagoland
area and recommend ground for local shipping as well as to surrounding
states of Illinois. Shipping rates are determined by the size and weight
of the order and the destination of the shipment.
Be sure to add your daytime telephone number in case Jennie and Vera have
any questions about your order.
UPS generally requires a signature for delivery, but it is up to the
discretion of the driver. If you do choose to have a signature there
will be an additional $2.25 charge. If you have an arrangement with UPS
for them to leave packages without a signature, then they will do so.
If not, they will generally require a signature, unless they feel the
package will be safe if left at your door. Deliveries to businesses occur
between 8am and 5pm and deliveries to residences occur between 8am and 7pm,
Monday through Friday.
Delivery Signatures
If you choose to select the option to have the carrier leave the package
without a delivery signature, you agree to indemnify and hold the carrier
and Jennie and Vera’s Cookies harmless from any resulting claim.
International Shipments
Jennie and Vera’s Cookies does not ship internationally at this time.

request can be met. Please understand only UPS next day air would be
available for shipping any Jennie and Vera’s Cookies products to
Canada or Mexico.
Tracking Your Order
Jennie and Vera’s Cookies’ carrier UPS will send a status and/or
confirmation e-mail with your tracking number which is provided by
QuantumView Notify. If there is a problem with your order, please click here to e-mail
us.
Tax
Sales tax of 1.75% will be added to addresses within Illinois for anyone
purchasing product with an Illinois address. Anyone ordering from out
of state and shipping to another state—including shipping to
Illinois—would not be charged tax.
